Union Veterans Council Executive Director Will Attig joined AWF Union Podcast on Veterans Day to explain how he got involved with the building trades, why union membership can help veterans have a smoother transition into a civilian career and more.
International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers General President Greg Revard gave an explanation of how his career as an insulator got started after transitioning out of the Navy, what the building trades are doing to help veterans find meaningful careers and what the Insulators Union is doing to reach out to veterans.
Finally, author Jennet Conant discussed a great tragedy that led to ground breaking medical developments. She explained how chemotherapy was discovered after soldiers inhaled mustard gas, depressing their white blood cell levels.
