Tennessee AFL-CIO President Billy Dycus was the first featured guest on today’s edition of the AWF Union Podcast. Dycus spoke about the current labor climate in Tennessee, issues with hiring contractors who use day laborers for projects and explaining the true, unfortunate meaning of So-Called “Right to Work.”
Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union/United Food and Commercial Workers Local 338 Political and Communications Director Nikki Kateman also joined the podcast. She explained how the spotlight was on essential workers during the pandemic and highlighted why they badly need union representation. She also discussed why the cannabis industry is growing at exponential rates and how union jobs can ensure good workforce development.
