Labor lawyer Joyce Goldstein returned to the America’s Work Force Union Podcast to discuss the recent U.S. Court decision related to the Teamsters actions during a strike at Glacier Northwest. Goldstein also discussed how the High Court’s votes were distributed and what this decision might mean for future labor strikes.

Political Director of the Iowa AFL-CIO Al Womble, joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast to discuss Gov. Kim Reynolds signing Senate File 542 into law. Womble then talked about what changes the new law creates for child labor in Iowa and possible confilict with federal labor laws.

Tony Rosaci, General Organizer for the Ironworkers Union and Tim Dunlap, Recording Secretary and Chief Shop Steward for Ironworkers Local 807, joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast to talk about the recent contract negotiations with Cives Steel at the Augusta, Maine plant. Dunlap discussed some of the stalling tactics the company used and the solidarity shown from other labor organizations. 

The Nation Author and Organizer for the UAW Jonathan Rosenblum, joined the America’s Work Force Union Podcast to discuss the efforts to organize within Amazon Warehouses. Rosenblum also discussed why he believes the Amazon negotiations are important to the future of the labor movement and how the Amazon Union workers can improve their chances of organizing and negotiating first contracts.
